A woman in her 60s has died, and two others have been admitted to Labasa Hospital following an accident along Buca Bay Road near Vatudamu.
Authorities stated that the driver of the four-wheel drive, a man in his 30s, failed to negotiate a bend, resulting in the accident that occurred yesterday morning.
Police said the driver would be taken in for questioning as part of their investigations.
The national road death toll currently stands at 26, compared to 24 for the same period last year.
