Two breach isolation, among 51 arrests

April 8, 2020

Two people in self-isolation in Lautoka were among 51 arrests made by Fijian authorities in the last 24 hours.

Fiji Police public relations officer Ana Naisoro confirmed that the breaches were in the Lautoka area, but did not give a specific area. However, given that the two have not completed their 14-day isolation period and general COVID19 measures, they will not be taken into custody.

“So once they’ve been cleared then we will bring them in for questioning,” Naisoro said.

Meanwhile, of the 49, 32 were for curfew breaches and 17 for social gathering.
