The Suva Blues have clinched the 2025 HBK Men’s Volleyball Championship title in style, powering past Vanua champs Raiwai One in a commanding straight-sets victory.
The win sees Suva walk away with the title and the top prize of $2,000, reinforcing their dominance in the local volleyball scene.
Suva’s middle blocker/right-side hitter (MD/B) Peter Sorby was named Men’s MVP, following a strong performance that saw him control the net with sharp blocks, clinical spikes, and unmatched energy. His presence throughout the match was a crucial difference-maker in all three sets.
Raiwai One, a young and dynamic side fresh off their Vanua Championship win last month, pushed hard in the last two sets but were ultimately edged out by the Blues’ experience and depth.
