Roads still closed in parts of the country: FRA

Some roads in the central division remain closed to date and the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) is calling on road users in this parts to exercise caution and drive to the road conditions. 

Reinstatement works have been completed in the western, eastern and northern divisions so they are open to all traffic. Works continue in parts of the central division and safety signs placed along affected roads to warn motorists.

In Navua, the old Queens Road in Wainadoi and the Saliadrau Road are open to 4WDs only while the Nabukavesi Road is closed to all traffic. In Rewa, the Waikete and Waila feeder roads are only open to light vehicles.  In Naqali, closed are the following crossing in Waidradra crossing, Waisa,, Waimale, Waiwatu, Waitaqolo and Nasi crossing on Wailase Road. Also closed in the same area are Muaniweni flat on Savu Road, Waibau Bridge, while the Nacokaika crossing on Wailase Road is restricted to light vehicles. Also closed is the approach on the Wailoa end of Naivucini crossing as well as Naitutu Road leading to Sote Village in Waidalice in Tailevu.  In Korovou, closed are the Colata Cocoa Road, as well as the Ovalau Circular, Wairua Settlement, Deepwater and Naitutu Sote roads. In Rakiraki, roads are open but the Nasau, Nauria, Vanuakula, Nailuva and Nakorovou crossings are restricted to 4WD only.
