Rewa/Nausori has become the latest subdivision to surpass 100 per cent coverage of its first dose deployment, as of 8 am this morning.
More than 2,000 people were inoculated over the last two days, surpassing the Ministry of Health’s initial target by 265 individuals, at 101% first dose coverage.
Rewa/Nausori is the second subdivision behind Ba to cover their first dose eligible target population. Ba has extended its coverage to 107%, having vaccinated around 1,800 more individuals over the last two days.
Vaccination has picked up in other subdivisions as well, and to date, Fiji has administered the first dose to 73% of its target population and 15.4% in terms of second dose inoculation. On that note, it is the latter stats of fully vaccinated individuals that have grown significantly over the last two days. Between 8 am yesterday and 8 am today, more than 4,000 people received their second dose, the highest in almost four weeks.
Divisional wise, the West has covered 80.3% of its first dose target population and 22.7% second dose coverage; in the Central – 73.2% first dose and 12.5% second; in the North – 64% and 9.1% and in the East, 34.2% and 6% respectively.
