Re-opening of Voter Services Centres Nationwide

Voter Services Centres reopen across this week after a temporary closure.

The centres open from 8.30am on weekdays.

Supervisor of Elections (SOE) Ana Mataiciwa, expressed appreciation for the public’s patience and cooperation during the closure stating: “We acknowledge the inconvenience caused during the brief closure and thank the public for their understanding. These upgrades were essential to allow us to enhance our systems.”

Necessary details about the VSCs and the services provided are noted below: 

Services Offered:

  • New Registration: Register to vote for the first time;
  • Replacement of Voter Card: Obtain a new voter card if yours is lost or damaged;
  • Correction/Update of Voter Details: Ensure your voter information is current and accurate; and
  • Reporting of Deceased Voter: Report the passing of a registered voter.

VSCs Opening Hours: 

8.30 am to 3 pm 

Eligibility for Voter Registration: 

A person who:

  • Is 18 years and above; 
  • Is a Fiji Citizen;
  • Is not serving a sentence of imprisonment of 12 months or longer imposed by a court of law in Fiji; and
  • Is not declared to have a mental disorder/unsound mind under a law in force in Fiji.

Requirements for Voter Registration:

  1. New Registration or Correction of Voter Card:
    • Birth Certificate (Original or Certified True Copy) and any of the following Current Photo ID:
      • Fiji Passport; or
      • Fiji National Provident Fund [‘FNPF’] Card; or
      • Driver’s License; or
      • Social Welfare ID; or
      • T.I.N (Joint FIRCA/FNPF) Card; or
      • Student ID from any Tertiary Institution registered with the Fiji Higher Education Commission.
    • Fiji Citizens Born Overseas:

Birth Certificate and Fiji Passport or any other Current Photo ID with Certificate of Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, Certificate of Registration as a Citizen of Fiji, or Confirmation letter from the Fiji Department of Immigration.

  1. Replacement of Voter Card:
    • Present any of the following photo IDs with your Birth Certificate (Original or Certified True Copy):
      • Fiji Passport; or
      • FNPF Card; or
      • Driver’s License; or
      • Social Welfare ID; or
      • T.I.N (Joint FIRCA/FNPF) Card; or
      • Student ID from any Tertiary Institution registered with the Fiji Higher Education Commission.
