PSC Announces Six PS Reappointments, Including Dr Raijeli Taga

Fiji’s Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced six Permanent Secretary reappointments, including Dr. Raijeli Taga, who will continue as PS for Lands and Mineral Resources until October 2024.

Dr. Taga, who has served as PS for Lands and Mineral Resources since 2020, and is a veteran in Fiji’s mining sector with over two decades of experience, will be reassigned to another ministry, although the PSC did not specify her new assignment.

Other reappointments include Pita Tagicakirewa as Permanent Secretary for I-Taukei Affairs, Culture, Heritage, and Arts, Seema Sharma as Permanent Secretary for Local Government, Yogesh Karan as Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, and Shaheen Ali as Permanent Secretary for Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications.

The announcement follows Susan Kiran’s reappointment as Secretary to Cabinet until June 2026 and PS for Information starting from this month.
