New Zealand will introduce more flexible travel rules for Pacific Islanders from 6 July 2025, allowing multiple visits over a 24-month period on a Visitor Visa.
Citizens of Pacific Islands Forum countries will be able to stay in New Zealand for up to six months in any 12-month period, capped at nine months over 18 months. Visa requirements however, remain in place, and visa length may vary depending on passport validity or other factors.
The Pacific Islands Forum includes: Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
