Netball Fiji is reviewing a motion of no confidence and a request for a Special General Meeting filed by the Suva Netball Association.
In a statement, Netball Fiji President RubyAnn Sorovaki confirmed receipt of the request and motion, stating that the governing body will follow constitutional processes to address them.
“At this time, the Executive Committee is reviewing the request and will respond and act accordingly within the prescribed governance framework,” she said.
“As a member-driven organisation, Netball Fiji operates within its constitution, which clearly outlines the process for convening an SGM, and we will work closely with our affiliated districts and Council to ensure adherence to this process to address the motions raised.”
Netball Fiji also urges members to maintain constructive dialogue and unity as they navigate this situation and work towards the continued growth and development of the sport in the country.
“We assure our members and the wider netball community that all matters will be handled with fairness and by our governing principles. We will provide further updates as necessary and in accordance with our constitutional procedures.”
