Nata Appointed TLTB Interim CEO After Kuruvakadua’s Resignation

Solomoni Nata has been appointed as the interim CEO of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) following the resignation of the previous CEO, Tevita Kuruvakadua, who was suspended.

Nata, who has been a board member since March, will serve in this position for one year, according to TLTB chairman Ifereimi Vasu.

His primary responsibility is to lead the planned reviews by the Fiji Government aimed at benefiting landowners and ensuring that the Board is ready to implement any necessary changes.

Kuruvakadua’s resignation comes about three months after he was suspended pending an investigation into allegations against him received by the board. His suspension in mid-March prompted the appointment of Peni Qalo, the Manager of Research and Policy, as the acting CEO.
