MBHS Ready for Secondary Schools Rugby League Season

Marist Brothers High School rugby league Under 17 captain Jone Savou is hopeful for a good season as the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League competition kicks off in Suva tomorrow.

MBHS is only fielding one grade this year and Savou says the team is determined to give the competition their best.

“The boys are ready, we have been preparing with our coaches and we hope to come away with a lot of experience. We know that the other schools are preparing well too so we can only give our best and enjoy this participation.”

Coach Jonetani Rika said the team knows what’s expected of them and will give their first game against Nasinu Secondary School their best shot.

“Another season is here and the boys from Kaunikuila are ready to give it their best shot and hope for the best.”

The only new inclusion into the tournament this year is Bua Central College in Bua.
