Manu Samoa captain Theo McFarland expects nothing but a tough battle when his side takes on the Fiji Water Flying Fijians tomorrow evening in Suva.

McFarland said while his side was ready to take on the home side, they were aware that the Fiji side comes with depth and experience.

“Fiji had a really good run at the Rugby World Cup last year and we know that they have kept their momentum therefore we expect a really tough battle here on their home ground.”

He said his side has been working on areas they know that need to be strengthened before taking on Fiji.

“We’ve been together for 3 weeks and it’s been a time of working on our weak areas, working on our combinations and putting things in place for this match.”

Head Coach Mase Manhori Schwalger said his side has come prepared for a hard run with the Flying Fijians.

“We are doing the best we can and we know that Fiji will bring their best game to protect the PNC cup. Our boys know what’s at stake and therefore it will be good encouter.”

The match kicks off at 6pm.
