Fiji’s Meteorological Service has issued a heavy rain Alert for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Northern Lau Group.
This is due to a trough of low pressure that approaches the country from the northeast.
The associated cloud and rain are expected to affect the country from today (Wednesday) till Saturday.
Occasional rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls are expected over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Northern Lau Group.
