FRU to meet regarding national 7s teams this week after Paris Olympics review

Fiji Rugby Union will meet this week to discuss issues regarding both the men and women’s national 7s teams.

Chairman of the Fiji Rugby Union Board, Peter Mazey said that this was around the post Paris Olympic Games review

“We will discuss the documents from the Olympics campaign and some decisions will be made from that meeting.”

Expected to be discussed also is men’s coach Osea Kolinisau’s willingness to continue coaching.

“Osea has indicated to us that he is willing and is available to coach till the next Olympics but just needs to have that discussion with his wife first.”

Mazey has also confirmed that the teams will begin camp soon also to prepare them for the new sevens rugby season with various local series also set to begin in a few months time.
