A former TLTB Officer who approved land lease applications for three people without following due process has been found guilty by the Lautoka High Court.
Inosi Tauvoli, who served as a Senior Estate Officer, was convicted of three counts of abuse of office committed between October 2018 and January 2019.
Delivering his judgment, Justice Aruna Aluthge said Tauvoli’s actions had prejudiced both the TLTB and the landowning unit, with all elements of the offence proven beyond reasonable doubt.
Tauvoli was represented by defence lawyer Amele Tubuitamana, while the prosecution was led by Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) Senior State Counsel Arieta Vaganalau.
The case has been adjourned for sentencing on 24 March 2025.
