FNPF opens up COVID-19 withdrawals to voluntary members

Fiji’s National Provident Fund will open up COVID-19 assistance withdrawals to voluntary members next month, benefitting 4,000 people.

Scheduled to be rolled out on 12 April 2021, members can access between $100 and up to $1,100 provided they have a minimum of $135 in their general account, they are aged over 18 and have a valid bank account.

All applications are to be submitted via the My FNPF App, Fund acting Chief Executive Officer Viliame Vodonaivalu said.

The Fund has 20,000 voluntary members whose total balance in the Fund stands at around $20 million. Of the 20,000 voluntary members, 6000 are active contributors.

No government top-up will apply for voluntary members and payment will be released in lump sum.
