Fijian newbies in Wallaroos squad for Fijiana Test

May 10, 2023

Wallaroos coach Jay Tregonning has named his squad, among them 11 uncapped players including two Fijians, for the Test against the Fijiana in Sydney next week.

Among the notable inclusions in the 32-player squad are 17-year-old Rebels prop Laiema Bosenavulagi, Brumbies’ Tabua Tuinakauvadra, and 16-year-old Waratahs fullback Caitlyn Halse. Additionally, ten Reds players who recently competed in the Super W finals against the Fijiana Drua have earned their place in the squad.

Also roped into the squad is Waratahs’ Sera Naiqama who has featured six times already for the Wallaroos.

In a statement, Tregonning stated that no player has secured their position in the team yet as they head into training this week. However, he expressed his confidence in the selected players.
