Fijian Drua Women to Work on Tackles Ahead of Semis Clash

Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women’s coach Mosese Rauluni said the team had not delivered as they should have in the game against the Melbourne Rebels on Saturday and has a lot to do for the semi final against Western Force at the HFC Bank Stadium on Friday night.

“For the game against Melbourne Rebels it was disappointing really. We didn’t come with the right attitude; we probably left a lot of things for next week.”

“We were in a good position early but just didn’t continue on. They pushed past us in a few silly errors and gave Melbourne the opportunity to come back into the game.”

Rauluni adds that they will work on improving their tackling for the game this weekend.

“This week we really need to commit to tackles. Our consistency has not been good, the jersey pulling, low chopping tackles was pretty disappointing.”

“We’ve got to really be on song and stay committed to the job, stay committed to the game plan.”

Meanwhile, centre Merewai Cumu is recovering well. However she will sit out of the semifinal.
