A gallant effort from the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women in the second half of their semi final against the Queensland Reds was not enough to secure them a spot at the finals of the Super Rugby W after losing 40 points to 54.
Trailing 42 – 5, the Drua forced errors upon themselves thus giving the home side advantage to capitalise.
Playing catch up in the second half was not enough
Scores for the Fijian Drua were from Alfreda Fisher, Mereoni Nakesa, two tries from Karalaini Naisewa in the 54th minute and nother one in the 67th minute, and a score each from Vani Arei and Vitalina Naikore. Conversions for the tries were all successful.
