Fijian Drua to work with Charity; Signs on McDonald’s as Sponsor

McDonald’s Fiji has joined the Fijian Drua vuvale as a major sponsor for both the men and the women’s teams.

Signing the deal today at the Fijian Drua HQ in Nadi, Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans said the partnership is an integral one for the club given the charity work that McDonald’s is known for.

“This essentially means that the Ronald McDonald House will be the official charity for the Fijian Drua.”

McDonald’s Marc McElrath said it was an opportunity not to be missed to be linked with the Fijian Drua.

“This means a lot to us. We have been expanding little by little but with this partnership we will definitely be able to do more in the work that we do with the sick children and their parents who are accommodated at the Ronald McDonald House.”

“I just know that this will bring joy to the children and their parents. At CWM hospital we have a small section where there is a dining room and kitchen facilities where parents can rest.”

“In Labasa, it is abit more extensive, we have the Ronald McDonald House where there are 11 rooms that parents of sick children can rest and recuperate while looking after their kids.”

“For Lautoka, we are beginning a new project where we will have a hospitality cart that will make rounds around the ward with essential supplies like toothbrushes and toothpaste and other bits and pieces that will be beneficial for the children.”

The deal is for three years.
