More exciting news of new signings is to be made by the Fijian Drua in the coming weeks as their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific campaign nears its end.
In a press conference today, head coach Glen Jackson said this followed the announcement of the signing of current Northhampton Saints player and Flying Fijian Temo Mayanavanua and was also part of the plans for the Club’s progress with senior players leaving.
“It’s going through ourselves, the CEO and GM to see several things ticked off. There will be some more announcements made this week.”
“The Drua is a 37-man squad and we have to get everything 100% right. I mentioned in a press conference that we have to get the right people in the building and that’s important when you lose 6 – 7 players you bring in the right people and I think Temo especially is a leader, a fantastic lineout forward.”
“Guys for who this is a massive honor and a privilege to play for the Drua. This is the greatest nation in the world for rugby, it’s very hard to try and select everyone and it’s the role of myself and the other people involved to get in players that can perform in this country under pressure, that love our style and everything that we want to be as part of the Drua.”
The confirmed two that have confirmed leaving the Fijian Drua are Selestino Ravutaumada and Iosefo Masi who are expected to be joining French Top 14 clubs.
