Fijian Drua Players Encourage Aspiring Ruggers to Pursue Dreams with Dedication

For Joseva Tamani, Vilive Miramira and Motikai Murray helping young children believe that there is a future in rugby drives them to do better.

The Fijian Drua trio were part of the wellness day program put together by the former scholars of Ratu Kadavulevu School in commemoration of the school’s 100th year anniversary this week.

“Being part of the Fijian Drua is more than just rugby. I am privileged to be part of this team.” Murray said.

Vilive Miramira said nothing came easy and for one to achieve ones dream, hard work and dedication have to be part of someone’s life every day.

“If you have a goal you have to remain committed to it and work hard to achieve it. Nothing is impossible, if something is meant for you it will come to you.”

“Each one of us got into the Drua because we worked hard and persevered even though there were challenges. There is always going to be challenges but how you stay the course and stay focussed is all that matters.”

Tamani said returning to the Club was something he was looking forward to.

“After a year in France I was glad to have had that experience yet being in the Drua again is something I am most looking forward to.”

“I want to encourage young kids out there that in order to achieve good things, you have to also put in the hard work. You can’t be relaxed and expect good things to come to you.”

The players took part in touch rugby with the former students and participated also in the workout exercises which was held at Albert Park.
