Despite the cold weather, the Fiji U20 side has settled into their camp in New Zealand in preparation for the Super Rugby U20’s competition which kicks off this weekend.
Head Coach Senirusi Seruvakula said even though the weather was an added factor, the team is in high spirits and ready to to face the Hurricanes U20 side this Saturday.
“We are settling in okay, it’s quite cold but we will adjust. The boys know that they need to focus because we have to win the first game.”
Seruvakula said that the team knows what is expected of them going into the game against the boys from Wellington.
“We know that the Hurricanes will be tough and their forwards will be the ones to watch out for.”
The team departed Fiji on Monday and will play the Hurricanes at 11.05am on Saturday at the Owen Delany Park in Taupo. The tournament is from March 15 – 22nd.
