Fiji Police are asking for public assistance to identify the victim of a fatal accident in Navua, which occurred in the early hours of 1 November.
Senior Superintendent Mitieli Divuana, Director of Traffic, confirmed that a man, believed to be in his late 20s, was found lying on Queens Road near Talenaua in Navua around 1am. He was allegedly struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old man.
The victim was taken to Navua Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Despite efforts to identify the man, police have been unable to determine his identity. The victim is described as an i-Taukei male, and authorities are releasing images of his clothing and a tattoo on his left arm to assist with identification.
