Fiji Pearls Present iTatau Ahead of Netball World Cup Departure

The Fiji Pearls today presented their ‘itatau‘ to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere in Suva before their departure for the Netball World Cup (NWC) in South Africa later this month.

Coach Unaisi Rokoura said their work is cut out for them. They are grouped in Pool A with Tonga, Zimbabwe, and 2019 runners-up Australia.

“We have a tough pool, but the girls have been giving their all at training – twice a day,” Rokoura said.

Fiji’s first match is against Tonga on July 28, followed by Zimbabwe on July 29, and Australia on July 30.

The NWC2023 in Cape Town will feature 16 teams and will take place from July 28 to August 6.
