Ronith Narayan and Atelini Umu came away winners of the Extra Supermarket Fiji Darts national singles championship held in Suva last weekend.
Narayan beat Warren Ashcroft 4 -2 to take the men’s title while Atelini Umu held on to claim the win over Jaishree Pala 3-1.
Forty eight men and 16 women competitors turned up for the event and Fiji Darts Association President Edward Roxburgh termed the competition as a platform to identify prospects for upcoming international tournaments.
Extra Supermarket marketing executive Lailanie Burnes reiterated the retail giants support for the sport, recognising that smaller sports also need support.
