“We have taken into account our mistakes and shortfalls from the Perth 7s and these past week we have been working on bettering ourselves.”
Fiji Airways national 7s team member Filipo Bukayaro says they have identified the areas they need to work on and are making things better as they look to have a good outing at the Vancouver leg of the HSBC tournament.
“Perth is now behind us and while we know we didn’t play to the best of our ability, we have realised our mistakes and are working on making sure we don’t repeat them in Vancouver.”
At training today, head coach Osea Kolinisau said the team has continued to bond well and new inclusion Mosese Naura has gelled with the team.
“He (Mosese) has fit in well and is doing really well at training. The boys in fact are all doing good. We have a few with some slight injuries and they are being looked after.”
The Vancouver 7s will take place from February 21 – 23 and will be shown live on Mai TV.
