The Fijian Elections Office today released a handbook to help polling agents understand the electoral process and their roles in the conduct of the election.
The release comes eight months prior to the first date the Writ can be issued for the 2022 Elections.
Launching the Polling Agents Hanbook, Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said the handbook will help political parties ensure their officials are prepared ahead of time.
“We want to make sure that political parties get ample time to prepare for the election and the Polling Agents Handbook is one of the key information mechanisms for political parties to train their officials on how to monitor the election,” Saneem said.
Political parties will each receive 100 copies.
An e-copy of the Handbook will be available from the FEO website.
