Thomas Setitaia, from Tovu, Totoya in Lau counts himself privileged to have been chosen to join the Sportsworld Fiji U20 side for the Oceania Rugby U20s championship to be held in King Charles Park in Nadi beginning tomorrow.
Setitaia, a former Wesley College student and Moana Pasifika U20 squad member, said receiving the call to join the side was a profound moment and he was grateful for the opportunity.
“This is huge for me and my family, and I am not going to take this opportunity lightly. I thank the coaches for having faith in my abilities and for believing that I can make a difference in the team.”
On his future endeavors, Setitaia said he hoped to continue developing his rugby, with the aim of being one of the best in his field.
“Right now, my focus is giving my all to the U20 and help the side beat Samoa, Tonga and Canada. What happens after that I will leave it to God.”
Tomorrow Wednesday 28 May – Fiji U20 vs Tonga U20, they face Canada on 6 June and take on Samoa a day later on June 7th.
