A former Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer accused of receiving $11,117.28 in bribes has been granted bail.
According to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC), Losevati Muailasekula Cokanasiga, whilst serving as a customer service officer, allegedly accepted the money from Ponipate Sevou between May 2021 and January 2022.
She appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today, facing one count of bribery under the Prevention of Bribery Act 2007.
Cokanasiga was granted non-cash bail of $1,000 with conditions, including surrendering travel documents, reporting monthly to FICAC, and not interfering with witnesses.
The case has been adjourned to Wednesday, May 14.
