The 2024 academic year is set to start in late January, as indicated in a recent Ministry of Education notification to school heads and parents.
The first term is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 29, starting with teachers, while students will officially start their classes the following day. Term one, spanning 14 weeks, will continue until May 3. Term two is also a 14-week period, running from May 20 to August 23, followed by Term 3, which spans from September 9 to December 6, lasting for 13 weeks. .
In the circular signed by Permanent Secretary Selina Kuruleca, school heads are encouraged to use this timetable as a reference for their educational planning for the year 2024.
