CFL Celebrates 40th Year Anniversary; Live Concert to Commemorate Milestone

July 1, 2025

Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of Fiji Village News, FM96, Radio Sargam, Radio Navtarang, Legend FM, and Viti FM—is celebrating 40 years of broadcasting with a live concert this Saturday at Suva’s iconic Albert Park.

CFL General Manager Charles Taylor credited the milestone to the unwavering dedication and strong team spirit that has driven the company’s success over the decades.

“We have a very strong team that is dedicated to achieving a certain objective and pinnacle is always that we put our listeners, and now our online users, first. They are our number one stakeholder and everyone within the organisation understands it, and we’ve worked tirelessly to be able to achieve that with everything we do.”

Taylor noted that with shifting global trends, the company is prioritizing the growth of its online platforms together with its radio presence.

“We’ve got our online platforms that are really taking off as well. And the great thing about radio is the two mediums speak to each other.”

“The two speak to each other, and that’s going to be our objective, grow our online platform but also making sure that it marries well with radio.”

A concert featuring local artists will be held on Saturday with artists including Kuki, Laisa Vulakoro, Saimoni Vuatalevu, Vegas 6, Tom Mawi, Big Wilz, Rosi Loa, Ciwa, Bollywood Dhamaka, Vou Dance Company amongst others.
