A 50-year old businessman will be produced at the Nadi Magistrates Court today charged with 23 counts of forgery.
The accused was arrested following a joint operation conducted by the Fiji Police Force, Fiji Revenue and Customs Services and the Fiji Immigration Department last week.
The accused is alleged to have received a consignment containing forged travel documents whereby he was charged and produced in court.
Further investigations and a search conducted at his residence resulted in the alleged discovery of more forged documents. The accused has been charged with 23 counts of forgery and one count of possession of illegal documents.
