Macuata welcomed 27 people who returned from Viti Levu today.
Housed for quarantine at Labasa College for the next 14 days, the returnees have also come from the Western division.
Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere earlier this week asked for compassion to be shown to the returnees.
“These are people who just want to return to their families. They are not sick. We need to support them just like the frontlines are doing by looking after them during the quarantine period.” Ratu Wiliame said.
