Fiji Airways cancels all passenger flights

April 26, 2021

Fiji’s national airline, Fiji Airways has cancelled all passenger flights, domestic and international included, until early May.

Heightened restrictions that came into effect this morning, prompted the airline to revise their flight schedule, cancelling all of their international passenger repatriation flights into and out of Fiji, and all domestic passenger flights, until next Sunday, 2 May.

Only international freight flights will be operational during this time.

“Dedicated international freighter services will continue to ensure vital export and import supply chains for Fiji remain intact,” the airline said in a statement.

The airline also said it would update patrons on the status of flights beyond 2 May 2021, which will align with Fijian Government updates and directives.

“We sincerely apologise if your flight has been cancelled as a result of the restrictions now in place in Fiji. The cancellations are beyond the control of both airlines, and are in place in the interest of the safety of customers, staff and the general public.”
