Flash floods in Labasa-Seaqaqa as winds pick up strength

Communities between Labasa and Seaqaqa have begun to experience flooding as heavy rain continues to pelt the area.

In Labasa, the bridge at Boca, Dreketi Lailai and Bulileka are underwater likewise an Irish crossing in Seaqaqa.

Authorities are calling on the public to refrain from crossing flooded rivers and waterways, even if they appear to be shallow.

Winds have picked up in these areas as well.
