The Fiji Kulas are raring to go in the Oceania Football Confederation Women’s Nations Cup which begins in Suva tomorrow.
Head Coach Angelina Chua spoke highly of the team adding the side was further boosted with the arrival of the overseas based players.
“The overseas based players have all arrived and are fitting in well with the local players, working on their game plan.”
Chua said they weren’t taking any side lightly knowing that all teams were out to win the Oceania title.
“We are not underestimating any team, we know they have also come prepared to give their best so we are working on ourselves too, to make sure we deliver our best performance on the field and make Fiji proud.”
The overseas based players include Trina Davis, Preeya Singh, Anisha Dwakar and Akanisi Sorovakarua who are all contracted with USA clubs.
Fiji will play Solomon Islands tomorrow night, face Tonga on July 8 and will meet Vanuatu on Friday 11th of July. All games will kick off at 7pm at the HFC Bank National Stadium.
