Team Fiji Gears Up for Action Across Five Sports in Palau

It’s a packed day for Fiji at the Pacific Mini Games in Koror, Palau, with our athletes competing in five different sports.

In the pool, swimmers will make a big splash across multiple events:

  • Men’s 100m butterfly: Thaddeus Kwong and Hansel McCaig
  • Women’s 100m butterfly: Vivita Bai
  • Men’s 50m breaststroke: David Young, Don Younger, and Samuel Yalimaiwai
  • Women’s 50m breaststroke: Imelda Smith, Kelera Mudunasoko, and Patricia Verebasaga
  • Individual Medley: Jeremiah Rova and Vivita Bai
  • 800m freestyle: Reuben Taylor, Imelda Smith, and Marseleima Moss
  • Mixed 200m medley relay: Reuben, Jonalese, Samuel, and David bring the day to a close

On the water, va’a paddlers return with fierce momentum:

  • Women’s 500m: Sera Havea, Faith Khelan, Krystelle Whippy, Martha Samuela, Taleivini Kaimacuata, and Elenoa Vatetei
  • Men’s 500m: Mark Acraman, Apete Dabea, Julius Campbell, Semesa Vilise, Raymond Rusivakula, and Ratu Goleanavanua Lesuma
  • Mixed 500m: Asesela Ravudi, Annette Naigulevu, Nitika Rouse, Abraham Fong, Iris Fisher, and Karel Ooms

Archery sees sharp focus from Chaandvi Prasad, Kavi Gounder, Nathan Kirk, and Patrick Nadan in the WA720 event.

Basketball 3×3 lights up the court as:

  • Men face off against Marshall Islands and Palau
  • Women battle the Marshall Islands and Guam

Baseball wraps up the day’s action, with Fiji challenging Guam at the Nippon Baseball Stadium.
