Two people charged in connection with a street robbery in Suva that was captured on dashcam video and widely shared across social media platforms are expected to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
The incident occurred on the night of June 15 on Butt Street. The victim was identified, and a report was lodged five days later.
Police say a 22-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested following tip-offs and assistance from social media users, as well as surveillance footage provided by nearby businesses.
The pair have been jointly charged with one count of aggravated robbery.
