Athletics Fiji receives help from Fiji Secondary Schools body

The Athletics Fiji contingent to 2025 Pacific Mini Games to be held in Palau next month were receivers of a timely donation of $15,000 from the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association yesterday.

In handing the cheque over, FSSAA executive Biu Colati said the Association was glad they were able to come to the aid of the contingent which contains several high school students.

“From high school athletics they move on to something bigger like this and we want to be there to also support them in this part of their journey.”

Secretary of Athletics Fiji, Lilian Amasa said the contingent was grateful for the donation of the funds that will go towards helping athletes get to the games.

“Each athlete’s costs comes to $3,000 so this amount will go a long way in helping many get to the Palau Mini Pacific Games, we are very grateful to Fiji Secondary School Athletics for stepping in during this time of need.”

The Pacific Mini Games will be held from 29 June to July 9th.
