Acknowledging Mother’s Day coming up on the weekend and the women who are mothers to the players in the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua side, the Club placed their names alongside their sons in the official lineup announced ahead of the Friday night clash.
“It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday so we’re starting the celebrations early. Our theme for this Friday night match against the Blues is all around Mother’s Day and we thought what better way to acknowledge our Mums that by adding their names next to their sons on this week’s team list,” said Shane Hussein, General Manager Commercial for the Fijian Drua.
“Our players love it, because their mothers were their first ever fans and have literally been with them since Day 1. We look forward to seeing as many Mums as possible on Friday night at the Stadium.”
“All our pre-match activities are focused on all our wonderful mothers and women who will be in attendance,” Hussein added.
