Search for 37 close contacts of COVID19 patient

There are now only 37 names out of the initial 82 unaccounted for as the Ministry of Health and Medical Services continues its contact tracing exercise.

Following the March 23 announcement by Prime Minister Frank Bainimaram that a third patient had tested positive for the novel coronavirus, authorities published the names and contact details of passengers.

“We still urgently need to get in touch with the 37 remaining passengers who were on flights with an airline attendant who was the first case of COVID-19 in Fiji to call 2219906 or email on fijihealthimt@gmail.com

Passengers were from the following flights:

  • FJ 871 – San Francisco to Nadi     (16 March 2020)
  • FJ 411 – Nadi to Auckland           (17 March 2020)
  • FJ 410 – Auckland to Nadi           (17 March 2020)

“This is a follow up from the Prime Minister’s statement on the contact tracing exercise done by the Ministry’s contact team.”
