Fijian Drua Farewell Trio and Look Ahead to 2025 Season

November 12, 2024

As the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua unveil their 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby squad, the club bids farewell to three key players from last season.

Centre Apisalome Vota, prop Jone Koroiduadua, and second-five Michael Naitokani have all moved on from the Drua after contributing significantly to the team over the past seasons.

Vota, who made 25 appearances for the Drua, and Koroiduadua, with 20 appearances, were part of the team from its inaugural season. Naitokani, who joined the Drua in 2023, made 11 appearances in his short stint with the club.

Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson thanked the departing players for their efforts: “We thank the three players for their contributions to our Club. They all made valuable contribution to the Drua and we wish them well in their next journey.”

With a new season just around the corner, Drua CEO Mark Evans is optimistic about what’s to come.

“We enter our fourth Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific eager to do better than we did in previous years. We have an excellent line-up of home matches in the new season with tickets already available for sale. Nothing beats the excitement of a Fijian Drua home match and we encourage the people of Fiji – who are the world’s best fans – come along in numbers to support their team.”

The Drua are aiming to take their game to the next level in 2025, building on their progress and continuing to showcase Fijian rugby talent on the international stage.
