Fijiana XV wary of Hong Kong China in Dubai; Mental toughness coach to be sought

The Kara Naisewa captained Fijiana XV side will not take the Hong Kong China side lightly when they face them on Sunday in the first match of the WXV 2 tournament in Dubai.

Head Coach Mosese Rauluni said that they have prepared well and the girls have had time to recover and continue working on areas identified after the two losses to Scotland and Netherlands.

“The team is ready and we are definitely not taking this Hong Kong China side lightly. Obviously they’re coming in for a win so we are staying focused on the training and perfecting the areas that need working on.”

Rauluni also shared that going forward the side will look at acquiring a mental toughness coach to help the team with other aspects of training apart from physical fitness.

“That is one area that we are going to work on and we will look at getting such a coach to help us with preparing the girls off the field. It’s really important because prepares comes as a whole package.”
