Suva and Nausori to be without water in the weekend; WAF urges storing of water now

Water supply in most parts of Nausori and Suva will be disrupted this weekend beginning Friday 27th to Sunday 29th September.

Water Authority of Fiji says they will be carrying out planned works to allow essential connection to the new DN900mm Gravity Main from Waitolu Reservoir to the existing DN600mm DICL rising Main from the Waila Water Treatment Plant which supplies the Wainibuku Reservoir.

Residents are urged to start storing water for basic necessities during the 3 days.

Areas that will be affected include:

Nakasi, Davuilevu, Lokia, Koronivia, Kings Rd, Sasawira, Farm Rd, Wainibuku, Pilling Rd, Nepani, Nadawa, Tovata, Kinoya,Laucala Beach Estate, Jerusalem Rd, Vatuwaqa, Nabua, Wainivula, Gratham Road, Raiwasa, Raiwaqa, Raiwai and Flagstaff.
