Karawalevu signs with the Fijian Drua; Considers it a Blessed Opportunity

Former Waratahs fullback and Marist Brothers High School student, Vuate Karawalevu is the latest signing with the Fijian Drua Super Rugby team.

Karawalevu who debuted last week in the number 15 jersey for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians described the opportunity as a blessed one.

Karawalevu who is from Kadavu,and shares maternal links in Nadroga, the player has represented Fiji in the sport of rugby league after breaking into the national side, the Fiji Bati in 2021, he has also been a member of the Kaiviti Silktails rugby league club (Ron Massey Cup), the North Sydney Bears (NSW Cup) and was also part of the Sydney Roosters set-up in the NRL.

Fijian Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson said the inclusion of Karawalevu is a huge step in further determining the position of the Club as a top contender for the Super Rugby title.

“He is an exciting player with alot of promise and we are looking forward to working with him, he adds to the depth of the team.”
