Fiji 7s places emphasis on Mental and Spiritual strength too: Kolinisau

Preparations continue at the national 7s team camp in France as they count down to the starting of the Paris Olympics.

Coach Osea Kolinisau said while training on the field was the focus, they have also emphasized on the teams’ mental and spiritual preparation.

“That’s been an ongoing development, making sure that as much as we give them training on skills out in the field that they are also given adequate empowerment that focuses on their mental and spiritual health.”

“They continue to develop their bond and are working really hard at all the training runs we’ve had.”

Kolinisau said the team to take the field for the first match against Uruguay will be named once they move to the Games village later in the week.

The Fiji vs Uruguay game will take place on Thursday 25th July at 3am. Later on that same morning, they face USA at 6.30am and go against France at 1.30am on Thursday 26th.
