Fiji Water Flying Fijians Continue prep for Georgia; Senior Players take Charge

As they prepare to take on Georgia this weekend, the Fiji Water Flying Fijians continue to train well together and more importantly gel as a unit.

And Head Coach Mick Byrne says having the senior players come in and join the team has been a morale booster for the younger players.

“Its been good to have the captain come in, to have the other boys come in especially in the forward pack. There is good stability in the conversations we are having. Quiet abit of excitement from the experienced players and is infectious throughout the team.”

Byrne said senior players have had a good impact for the new players and this has seen the team continue to prepare well off the field.

“Some of our younger players could be making a debut so they have been quiet but then you have the senior players come in with so much enthusiasm, making the younger ones feel relaxed and at home and it’s just great to see that happening in this team.”

The Fiji Water Flying Fijians play Georgia at the Adjabarat Arena in Batumi, Georgia at 4am on Saturday, Fiji time.
