Given the time constraints placed on the Flying Fijians before they took on the Barbarians XV, Coach Mick Byrne says he was pleased with how they played on Sunday morning.
“I’m pleased with how our players responded to the late arrival into the UK given that the squad was mainly made up of the Fijian Drua players.”
“These are resilient, tough young men.”
Byrne said they have identified certain areas that they need to work on in preparation for Georgia.
“To play the bigger teams in the world we’ve got to allow ourselves to go one-on-one and manage the work around our breakdowns.”
The Flying Fijians take on Georgia at the Adjarabet Arena in Batumi.
