A 44-year-old man whose penis was bitten by a 50-year-old woman he raped in an abandoned club house in Ba 10 years ago has been sentenced to seven years in prison by a Lautoka High Court.
Joseva Mario is not eligible for parole until he has served five years.
Court records from the sitting at the Lautoka High Court last week indicate that the victim was drinking alone along the Ba Riverside, where Mario was drinking with a group of friends. After she declined an offer from them to join, Mario approached her, punched her, and dragged her to the abandoned clubhouse.
In the event of his forcing himself on her, the victim bit his penis, causing him to scream and run off. The victim was able to free herself, ran towards the river, where she was rescued by fishermen.
